Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder
Craig Kasten leads SKYGEN USA in bringing next-generation claims management and technology tools together for healthcare organizations interacting with benefits. Mr. Kasten is an accomplished leader whose career in the managed healthcare industry spans 30 years. He is the founder or co-founder of several SKYGEN USA companies, including Wonderbox Technologies, Scion Dental, Vestica Healthcare, American Therapy Administrators and Hylis Pharmacy Solutions. He also co-founded Doral Dental USA and grew the company to a market-dominant position before its sale to DentaQuest Ventures.
Mr. Kasten continues to provide vision, strategic direction and creative support for functional design innovations to the Enterprise System, Wonderbox Technologies’ proprietary benefit management platform. He also provides oversight and strategic direction for new service innovations for Scion Dental and Vestica Healthcare.
Prior to launching his entrepreneurial career, Mr. Kasten served concurrently as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of CareNetwork, Inc., a publicly traded regional health plan later acquired by Humana. Mr. Kasten holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Marquette University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Wisconsin.
Mr. Kasten was honored as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2003. In 2005, he was named a Distinguished Alumnus by the Marquette University School of Business Administration.
President and Chief Technology Officer
As President and Chief Technology Officer of Wonderbox Technologies, Darrin Haehle ensures that the Enterprise System, the company’s flagship product, remains a premier benefit management platform for all segments of the health benefits industry. He oversees company operations, including technology research, software design and development, quality assurance and system deployments.
Mr. Haehle brings more than 15 years of managed healthcare experience and over 25 years of systems design experience to his role, including designing and developing custom software applications and web-based benefit management software systems. Prior to his role with Wonderbox Technologies, Mr. Haehle held a number of progressively more responsible positions with Doral Dental, including Director of Application Development and CIO. While at Doral, he oversaw all aspects of the company’s software application to support daily operations, supervised and supported all technology related personnel and activities, and provided on-site support and service for clients.
Mr. Haehle earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Chief Advancement Officer
As Wonderbox Technologies' Chief Advancement Officer, Michelle Spencer leads the team responsible for ensuring the Enterprise System is optimized to its fullest advantage for all clients. She ensures client implementations and software platform upgrades are handled smoothly, providing seamless transitions for members, providers and clients. She is also a key participant in strategic planning for the company's continued growth.
Ms. Spencer brings a wealth of experience in the health benefits industry to Wonderbox Technologies. Previously employed by Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and a leading national managed care company, she gained invaluable experience in the areas of system conversions and financial audits. With her knowledge of computer systems and finance, Ms. Spencer has proven to be a strong and versatile team leader.
Ms. Spencer holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business with majors in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As a Certified Public Accountant, she also holds an MBA with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Vice President of Information Technology
As Vice President of Information Technology, RJ Book oversees Wonderbox Technologies’ datacenter infrastructure and operations that support the Enterprise System. Mr. Book works to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client systems on a 24/7/365 basis.
Since joining Wonderbox Technologies in 2002, Mr. Book has focused on staying ahead of the curve in database and information technology in order to keep the Enterprise System at the forefront of benefit management. Mr. Book’s professional certifications include Microsoft Certified Master of SQL Server, as well as multiple CompTIA and ITIL certifications.
Director of Software Development
As Director of Software Development, Mike Gardipee oversees the development of new functionality and regular updates to Wonderbox Technologies’ Enterprise System - an innovative benefit management platform - along with a complimentary suite of self-service web portals. He manages a team of software developers that focuses exclusively on delivering well-designed software that meets client needs as well as compliance requirements, all in a timely manner.
Mr. Gardipee joined Wonderbox Technologies in 1999. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE).
Dan M. Keelan
Director of Quality Assurance
As Director of Quality Assurance for Wonderbox Technologies, Dan M. Keelan’s top priority is ensuring each release of the industry-leading Enterprise System, the company’s flagship benefit management platform, meets and exceeds client expectations and delivers an exceptional user experience. He is committed to using the most innovative testing approaches to stretch the Enterprise System to its limits in order to give clients the real-world performance that allows them to remain well ahead of their competition. The result is an increase in overall efficiencies and the rapid introduction of more features sets, which often help clients meet requirements and reduce cost through the delivery of groundbreaking benefit management capabilities.
Mr. Keelan has been committed to the success of Wonderbox Technologies since he joined the company in 2000. He has been an integral contributor to five major software releases and dozens of smaller version upgrades. Through it all, he has never wavered in his dedication to provide a high quality software product, helping the company build its reputation for excellence.
Mr. Keelan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Director of Software Design
As Director of Software Design, Doug Wilkens is the key conduit between Wonderbox Technologies’ clients and the development team responsible for enhancing the Enterprise System, the company’s flagship benefit management software platform. A significant part of this role involves using his extensive industry knowledge and experience to identify key trends and anticipate changes to regulations and requirements so he can recommend new capabilities that keep Wonderbox Technologies’ clients ahead of the curve. He is also focused on understanding and prioritizing requirements from various stakeholders and then working with the development team to translate them into software solutions that are industry disrupters and bring true value to the company’s clients.
Mr. Wilkens brings a deep understanding of the Enterprise System to this mission. Prior to taking on his present role, he spent seven years in different positions at the SKYGEN USA family of companies where he gained invaluable knowledge about the inner workings of this cutting edge platform. He also gained experience with the core technology working as a Data Analyst for Vestica Healthcare – part of the SKYGEN USA family of companies.
Mr. Wilkens is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting.
Director of Client Support Services
In his role as Director of Client Support Services, Jim Zeisler ensures that data flows smoothly between Wonderbox Technologies and clients using the Enterprise System. Mr. Zeisler oversees a team of analysts responsible for the integration of client data as well as customized reporting, which is an essential function of the Enterprise System.
Mr. Zeisler draws on more than 19 years of experience in information systems and client services in his current position. Prior to joining Wonderbox Technologies in 2005, Mr. Zeisler served as a senior project manager for OnContact Software Corporation, where he managed all aspects of systems implementations for clients. Prior, Mr. Zeisler was a consultant with Andersen Consulting.
Mr. Zeisler holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University and he volunteers his time coaching youth baseball and basketball teams.
